What to Look For

• Slat spacing matters: look for slats no more than 3" apart — wider gaps let mattresses sag.
• Height: 14" frames give huge under-bed storage; 12" frames suit lower ceilings and shorter sleepers.
• Weight capacity: a Cal King needs at least 500 lb capacity; 700+ lb is ideal for two adults plus mattress.
• Noise: foam-padded tape on slats and metal-on-metal joints is what separates quiet frames from squeaky ones.
